The Italians Karma and Marguerita present them selves as the favourites.

The second day of this world championship has offered different wind conditions for the X-35 fleet. The first race was sailed with a Garbi wind (185º) of 8 knots and the second one was sailed with a dramatically different wind from the East (70º) with an intensity of 11 knots. In both cases the side towards land has been the good one, in the first race to the right and in the second race to the left. Today the wind intensity did not force material damage, but five boats have been disqualified in the second start. After several recalls the strong current of the area forcing the boats to windward, the race committee decided to apply the black flag. These black flag boats have not been able to sail the fourth race, race that has validated the world championship under the ISAF regulations.  Margherita of Roberto Mazzucato having been the most regular sailor of the day with two second places and four points, Karma of Pegoraro Vladimiro is now the new leader with 6 points  (1rst and 5th) to be added to yesterday’s 12th points. They are at present the two best representatives of the Italian squadron who are trying to stop the North European teams. This north European team is pursuing the overall results with the German boat Niramo X-Treme, followed by the Danish boat, Oxygen and the Finnish team, Audi e-Tron. The Spanish representatives have improved today, the catalan boat, Desafino de Miquel Colomer with a sixth and a tenth place, allowing them to move up to tenth place, just in front of Tuvvik of Joaquin Ibáñez, after having lead the first race of the day and ended up in fifth place. In the second race of the day they finished eleventh overall. The other Spanish representative, Fyord of José Luis Maldonado seems to be slowly improving with a 22nd and a 13th.

A very regular Lelagain (ITA) leads the first racing day. Two races with very different wind conditions have required the best out of the 22 boats that compound the X-35 World Championship fleet.

The two first races of this world championship has required the best sailing manners due to the variety of wind conditions that the 22 participating boats have faced today. The first race of the day was sailed with wind ranges from 8 to 12 knots and for the second race of the day the local breeze, Garbi, woke up with strength, increasing from 20 to 22 knots. Plenty of spinnakers, some genoas and several mainsail battens broke and reinforced the decision of the race committee to not give a third race for the day.The fleet has proven to be very equal in the first positions and given excitement rounding the marks where some of the favourites have already computed plenty of points. The first race saw how the Italian Margherita and the present world champion, Oxygen penalised themselves before the second leg and ended up in 13th and 11th place. This made the two favourites retire from the podium and has given the opportunity to the Finnish representative, Audi Ultra to win the race, followed by the Italians Karma, Hotelplan and Lelagain. The Spanish representatives finished in the following order, ninth for Desafino, Tuvvi,  twelfth, and Fyord , twentieth. The Danish boat, Oxygen, proved why they are the world champions in the second race after a good start they chose the right side of the upwind leg and lead since the first mark to be rounded at windward. Followed by the dutch boat, Xces and a group lead by Lelagain, Margherita, Hotelplan and X-Alice, after a penalty taken by Lelagain for touching the windward mark. A strong gust then came in and the fleet found itself with spinnakers flying all over the place.  Whilst the leader Oxygen gained space to the rest of the fleet in the following legs, Xces found itself doing the first part of the second upwind with no jib loosing several important places, Margherita finished in second place, followed by the Finnish boat, Audi e-Tron. The Spanish boats, ended up in 15th, for Desafino, Tuvvik in 19th, whilst Fyord had to retire. After the two races of today, Lelagain (with a 4th and a 3rd) has transformed her regularity to a leading overall position with 7 points, followed by a group of 5 boats very close in points.  A perfect prelude which promises to be an exciting world championship for these one design X-35 boats.
